POTENSI ANTIOKSIDAN CLAY MASK STICK BERBASIS RICE BRAN OIL TERHADAP RADIKAL BEBAS DENGAN METODE DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl)

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan kulit wajah menjadi perhatian penting, terutama bagi perempuan, karena berpengaruh terhadap rasa percaya diri dan penampilan. Salah satu upaya perawatan kulit wajah adalah penggunaan masker berbahan alami yang dinilai lebih aman dan ramah lingkungan. Seiring berkembangnya inovasi di bidang kosmetik, sediaan clay mask stick hadir sebagai bentuk baru yang lebih praktis digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi antioksidan dari clay mask stick yang diformulasikan dengan minyak bekatul (rice bran oil/RBO) menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Minyak bekatul diketahui mengandung senyawa antioksidan alami seperti tokoferol, tokotrienol, dan oryzanol. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan mengukur nilai IC50 menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 520 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formula yang mengandung RBO (F2 dan F3) memiliki nilai IC50 < 50 ppm, yang menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antar formula (p = 0,003), dan uji lanjut LSD membuktikan bahwa formula F2, F3, serta pembanding vitamin C secara signifikan berbeda dari formula kontrol (F0). Selain itu, hasil uji karakteristik fisik (pH, homogenitas, daya sebar, dan waktu kering) menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sediaan memenuhi standar mutu kosmetik yang baik. Kesimpulannya, clay mask stick berbasis rice bran oil memiliki potensi kuat sebagai produk perawatan kulit topikal dengan aktivitas antioksidan yang efektif dan stabil
